Zak Scerri is an Australian jazz guitarist and composer now living in London. His love for guitar began at age 12, initially immersed in rock before gravitating towards jazz and contemporary sounds. While grounded in jazz language, his compositions draw on groove, rock energy, and a refusal to sit neatly within one stylistic box. Zak’s trio - open, responsive, and exposed - provides the ideal setting for that blend playing both jazz standards and his original compositions.
