Formed in 2009 by Alasdair MacLean of the Clientele and Spanish vocalist/instrumentalist Lupe Núñez-Fernández of the indie pop duo Pipas, Amor de Días, which translates to “love of days,” began assembling in secret in 2008 on evenings and weekends. Pop gems galore will marry the warm athmosphere of Dauns, house of several past Mirror TV/Dauns intimate sessions (with Eugene Chadbourne - Sons of Viljems - Too Early/Too Late - Laura Loriga - Xu Shaoyang - Agate Max - Dodo Museum). Xu Shaoyang - Xu Shaoyang has mastered a beguiling sophisticated-naive style overflowing with humanity and beauty and that's what makes this Chinese musician so special. He is a member of the rather splendid cult errant pop group Maher Shalal Hash Baz, and like the Japanese collective his songs pick apart conventional ideas of musicality by embracing fragments, happy accidents and the spirit of amateurism.
