For October's Cabal, we are joined by Netherlands-based sima k, an eclectic selector who knows just how to move a crowd in a cost red-lit basement, along with Cabal resident, Benebe, and local legend Josh Hurst. sima k is an Amsterdam-based DJ you’ll find popping up in many places - working within production teams, crafting stages, digging deep, and steadily building the warm community around her that she loves most about the scene. Coming from a Slavic background, she grew up in a musical household: playing piano, jamming, and making mixtapes - all of which shaped her musical curiosity. A dedicated digger, sima k doesn’t define herself by one genre, drawing inspiration from minimal, deep house and UK sounds, she shares her collection with a lightness that feels like she’s been doing this forever - curious, playful, and warm. With a residency at GIMIC in Brussels and a growing network across Amsterdam and London, that same sense of community keeps expanding wherever she plays. Friend of the Cabal, Josh Hurst, joins with a fresh bag of deep, groovy house, often with an acidic twist, as he transitions over from the evil USBs to the more enlightened wax.
