Morocco Bound Bermondsey, London

MNB is an award-winning multigenre vocalist trained in operatic and classical jazz traditions, drawing on rich disciplines to imaginatively engage with text and canon as a practise of embodiment. Based between Cambridge and London, mnb is an active contemporary soloist for both classical and jazz orchestras, weaving lush close harmony and resonant chromaticism in order to inform her collaborative approach to creating music, often working closely in less common instrument pairings with cellists and percussionists to create a dreamlike immediacy. She regularly collaborates with artists such as GanGemi, Talulah, SafiJazz, Dilan Kumar, The Horse and Marisse Cato. Mnb's varyingly experimental approach culminates in an archival re-interpretive sound world. As well as being a much sought after voice, MNB works as consultant curator and producer for both the sonic and visual elements of multiple arts-activism events in London and Cambridge, helping to fund the work of charities such as Thames Reach, Collective Aid and Sudanese and Congolese relief funds. Looking forward, MNB is working on a folk jazz EP scheduled for 2027 release, competing in the Pembroke art song competition and undertaking a performed research project into the intersections between Maqam and jazz.
