An intimate performance on 10th December at Union Chapel will see War Child UK Music Ambassador, Joy Crookes reimagine her music for one night only, in aid of the organisation's work delivering specialist mental health support, education, protection and immediate aid to children globally whose lives have been devastated by war. A stripped back set, the performance will offer a rare opportunity to experience Joy’s distinctive voice and songwriting up-close this winter at the awe-inspiring, Union Chapel. The evening will bring together an eclectic mix of live instrumentation, including Hammond organ, upright bass, cello and sitar, alongside a small choir, creating a rich, unplugged sound. Fans at the show can expect Joy’s lyrical precision, rich vocals and a first chance to hear brand new, unreleased material. With surprise guests appearing throughout the night, the show promises unexpected collaborations and special musical moments, brought together for one evening in aid of War Child’s vital work providing children affected by conflict with the skills they need to rebuild their futures. All proceeds go to War Child.
