On Saturday September 26th, La Rumba Buena is proud to welcome San Francisco-based vinyl label, record store and DJ crew Discodelic (@discodelic_discos_viajantes) in partnership with @craterycon. Ruffy (Mexico) and Majoo (El Salvador) have earned a reputation for digging deep into the musical history of Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond, unearthing forgotten sounds and the artists behind them, along with partner Miles Ake. Their reissue label brings many of those discoveries back to life, while their San Francisco record store has become a destination for rare Latin, Caribbean and Tropical sounds. Discodelic’s ROVR radio show has brought these deep selections to a global audience, while their Latinos Con Soul festival is the only one to celebrate the diaspora’s soulful sensibilities. Gilles Peterson has even invited the crew to sit on Worldwide FM and share the stories behind some of their incredible finds.
