Drum & bass in its full stretch! From the roots that built it to the hands still shaping it. A night that leans into continuity rather than contrast, where different generations of the sound meet on equal ground. At the centre stands DJ Marky & GQ, a long-awaited moment for us. A name that has sat on our wishlist for years, and one that needs little introduction. Emerging from São Paulo in the early ’90s, Marky became a defining figure in shaping drum & bass beyond its borders, a sound both technically precise and unmistakably warm. His sets are lessons in flow, but also in control: lightning-fast blends, needle work, double drops executed with a finesse that borders on instinct. A legendary DJ in the purest sense. Alongside him, GQ adds that essential voice, not as an extension, but as part of the rhythm itself. Support comes from Murdock & MC Mota. The driving force behind Rampage, Murdock has played a major role in shaping Belgium’s drum & bass culture. For this one, he goes back to the roots with a special old skool set, alongside MC Mota. Also joining the line-up is One87, a name deeply tied to the legendary Star Warz (R.I.P) and its place in Belgian drum & bass history. A DJ and curator who has spent decades connecting the dots between artists, sounds and generations. Headspace DJ’s complete the bill with Hiraeth, Istoria and Expensive KVR, representing a younger generation exploring the deeper and more forward-looking sides of the spectrum. A long-awaited booking, a few generations of drum & bass, and a very good reason to spend a Friday night at Ampere. Most certainly the last drum & bass night at Ampere.
