**ORII SOUTH ft. LIZMNK** Inspired by the timeless vocals of Sarah Vaughn to the electric productions of Massive Attack, London births an innovative alternative artist known as **lizmnk**. Producer, vocalist and songwriter/poet, lizmnk’s artistry concerns itsself in the underbelly of emotion - facing her shadow self, highlighting injustice, reckoning with the contradictions of waking life. Breaking onto the London music scene in 2023, she has since graced stages and headline shows in venues such as Tate Modern, Barbican Centre, Ronnie Scott’s, and 180 Studios. **lizmnk** has also received support from Brick Lane Jazz Festival, BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, Foundation FM, Brownswood Record label and more. Her newest single, Subliminal Seduction, will be released on the 9th of October. **\----** **Five years of jamming, every single week.** *It’s been beautiful, transformative, and we're so proud of what we've built together. But right now, grassroots music in London is fighting a significant cultural current.* ORII was created to serve and uplift the artist community. Right now, running two weekly jams no longer serves us or you the way it used to. To protect our community, the spirit of ORII, and ensure everyone is properly paid, valued, and respected, we are initiating the ORII REBIRTH. Starting July 6th, we are transitioning to 4 landmark events per month: **✨ Week 1: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH (OG Jam & Open Mic)** **✨ Week 3: ORII EAST + ORII SOUTH (Special Event, Themed & Takeovers)** We are working to make ORII more intentional, higher value, and sustainable for the next generation of London's creative community. \---- **This week we invite MEZZO** Hailing from East London, **Mezzo** is an artist with a genre-blending sound that refuses to be boxed in. Best known for founding the live music movement **Mezzo’s Corner**, he’s built a platform that celebrates authentic expression, community, and emerging talent—all driven by his mantra: “**Mezzo’s Corner to the World**.” After a brief hiatus from the live music scene, **Mezzo** returns with renewed purpose, ready to share his story, reconnect through his music, and continue creating spaces where artists can be seen, heard, and celebrated. Expect an unforgettable performance that blends raw energy, heartfelt lyricism, and the spirit of community that defines **Mezzo’s Corner**. \---- **Orii is a platform for artists and creatives, to perform, enagage, and inhabit their true Orii.** 1st half | for beginners to come on stage supported by our house band and hosts 2nd half | for seasoned musicians, instrumentalists and vocalists to perform
