*TSA: The Musical* is a brand-new concept musical that satirizes the absurdity of air travel, told through a series of interconnected vignettes spanning a wide range of genres. A film noir mystery posits a TSA agent as a hardboiled detective facing a moral crisis. A silent-era slapstick sequence imagines Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp navigating airport security, with hijinks ensuing. An airport meet cute (or rather, many of them) in the airport is rendered as a big, golden-era Technicolor musical number. We even travel back to where it all started, with the Wright brothers’ invention of the airplane, now transformed into a turn-of-the-century coming-of-age story.
