After Ash Lauryn blessed Durham as part of King Britt's Blacktronica at BOOMSlang back in May, we knew we needed her to return to the Bull City sooner rather than later. So naturally we are ecstatic to welcome her back to BOOM Club this November on the Party Illegal Danley system alongside some of our favorites like LexOnLoud, thefacesblur, Lily Ray and lights by Phase Mod Lighting! Detroit-born and Atlanta-based, Ash Lauryn is pushing the Black American roots of house and techno forward. Her acclaimed platform, Underground and Black, which began as a blog and later evolved into a beloved NTS radio show and event series, has become a cornerstone of honest storytelling and celebration within the electronic dance community. Ash Lauryn’s releases, including collaborations with Stefan Ringer, Jimpster, and the timeless anthem “Underground & Black” with Kai Alce, blend Detroit house roots with soulful spoken word. Not to mention her family-centered day party Mother May I, Ash Lauryn is truly preserving the roots of dance music into the future. With: LexOnLoud thefacesblur Lily Ray
