Founded in 1975 in Monterrey, Mexico by Virgilio Canales Vela, Grupo Liberación is one of the most successful and beloved acts in Mexican "grupero" music. Over a 50-year career, the band has blended cumbia, banda, Mexican chicano music and romantic ballads, producing generation-spanning hits like "Ese Loco Soy Yo," "Enamorado de un Fantasma" and "Como Duele." Their music has won over audiences across Mexico, the US, and Central and South America, and now arrives in Europe for the first time, bringing that same unmistakable sound.
