Their hybrid live process maps intricate analog hardware into flexible digital workflows, producing a genre-agnostic sound that moves between spacious atmospherics, flow-state IDM and hypnotic techno minimalism, driven by heavy dub pressure and syncopated breaks. Marking a decade of collaboration, they launched their own label, GEKO, in 2026, following acclaimed releases on Kalahari Oyster Cult, Midgar Records and NAFF, including the Serpentine EP with Canadian producer Priori, which introduced their weightless yet propulsive "feather-tech" style. After a year of hardware sets at Horst Arts & Music, Draaimolen, Monument Festival, Fold and Garage Noord, the duo is now on a multi-continental tour with stops at New York's Sustain-Release, Brooklyn's Public Records and ADE, culminating in a headline slot in MUTEK MX's Nocturne program in Mexico City. Ciel is a Xi'an-born, Toronto-based producer, DJ, classically trained pianist and promoter. Her sound pairs the softer, dreamier edges of electronic music (lush ambient textures, intricate New Age melodies) with fierce rhythmic foundations. Robust basslines and the skip of UK bass, speed garage, broken-beat techno and jungle breaks drive it forward, and the result feels both nostalgic and forward-facing. She has released on Peach Discs, Spectral Sound and !K7, and runs her own Toronto label, Parallel Minds. Her 2023 debut album Homesick includes "Bamboo," which won Underground Dance Single of the Year at the 2025 Juno Awards. She also co-leads Loopchasers, a high-speed studio project with Montreal producer Priori. A longtime part of the MUTEK family, she went from her first live performance at MUTEK Montréal to touring audio-visual live sets across its global editions. She has also played Draaimolen, Dimensions and Movement Detroit, along with club dates at fabric, Robert Johnson, Smartbar and Berghain's Panorama Bar. Hiroki is a Toronto-based producer, DJ and dancer who has become an essential figure in Canada's underground electronic community. He translates physical dancefloor movement into hypnotic studio logic. His sound draws on low-slung dub pressure, stripped-back minimal grooves and leftfield techno, and he skips traditional club formulas in favour of unconventional textures and subtle late-night psychedelia that keep the floor moving. A fixture on the regional circuit, he provided DJ support for Ciel's hardware live PA debut and has played standout sets at Cloud 9 Festival and a golden-hour showcase at the beachside BOOT festival campout. He also plays late-night takeovers at Montréal's Parquette and headlines the art-driven Art Show Near Me series at Sounds Good and Standard Time in Toronto. wabi is a Toronto-based arts and electronic music crew that has been a foundational pillar of the Canadian underground since 1999. Guided by their "aural.visual.spatial" philosophy, they turn unconventional local spaces into immersive sensory environments, pairing the hypnotic architectures of minimal techno, IDM and leftfield electronics with cutting-edge visual projection art. Anchored by resident DJs nitsuji, otaku, ozawa and taskone, the crew recently marked their 25th anniversary with a showcase and retrospective archive exhibition at Standard Time on Geary Avenue. They also launched their own wabi record label, debuting with Adam Marshall's Sordino EP. Over the years they have brought international icons to the region in rogue spaces and staged an all-night ambient takeover for MULTIfest and Nuit Blanche at Stackt Market.
