Progged-out oddities, trance-laden artefacts, magic psychedelic trippers and genre-defying dancefloor peculiarities. Label head and DJ for over 20 years, Carl H is a passionate explorer and advocate of the deepest corners in electronic music. Originating from the small UK seaside town of Cleethorpes, the visionary Animals on Psychedelics founder has been exporting his weird and wonderful sound beyond borders, spellbinding crowds across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. From mind-melting mesmeric sets to close out festivals to pounding some of the world’s best club dance floors, Carl’s eclectic sonic range and surgical precision to mixing seamlessly traverses both big room and intimate spaces. Hong Kong native maxi.milian is a rising force in the underground music scene. Known for his pinpoint digging, attention to detail and gem-filled record bags, his sound and musical interests pay tribute and affection to the past, despite an affinity for modern grinding electro basslines and the playful vocals of French touch. From 80s house origins and Italo, to 90s trance, electro and house classics, to their progressive descendants of mainly the 2000s and the 2020s, Max pulls together the musical elements that make him move, and finds complete fulfilment in introducing them to others. After 6 years developing his music taste between Edinburgh and London, and then launching Mail In A Mix*, he moved back to his hometown and became a key figure in the resurgence of vinyl DJing in Hong Kong. Having since played alongside Enrica Falqui, Dea Dvornik, DOTT, and Ryokei, today he splits his time between the vinyl night of 宀 Club, label and collective VG+ alongside founders Vence and Sunsiaré, and his duo enzyme with partner suz eq. *Mail In A Mix (anagram of his name), is a filmed vinyl mix series for which mailed records are unwrapped and mixed live. The process enhances quick-thinking and technique in mixing on vinyl, with the aim of creating a coherent set without pre-planning and with reduced beat-matching time due to unwrapping the packages mid-mix.
