yo yo oto presents... Daniel Bell Trustfall Hiroki ~~~~~~ Daniel Bell stands as one of electronic music’s most influential minimalists. Emerging from Detroit in the early 1990s, Bell developed a radically stripped-down language of rhythm, repetition and funk that helped shape the course of minimal house and techno worldwide. As DBX, he created a series of landmark recordings, most notably 1994’s “Losing Control”—a hypnotic underground anthem whose influence continues to resonate across generations of producers and DJs. Behind the decks, Bell is a master of reduction: precise, patient and relentlessly funky, building dance floors through subtle shifts rather than obvious gestures. More than three decades into his career, he remains one of the few Detroit originals still pushing minimal electronic music forward on his own unmistakable terms. Trustfall is a Toronto-based artist, radio host and organizer. They have a soft spot for eclectic, left-handed selections and oddball psychedelia across all genres. They organize a bi-monthly party series called Freakers Corner at Bampot House in Toronto with their collective Freakers Union. These two will be joined by yo yo oto organizer and label head hiroki <3 :) Date: Friday, November 27 Location: 961 College St. *Venue has two staircases; some accessibility arrangements can be made, but washrooms are downstairs.
