Extraterrestrial Desire presents: “Sentire vs Udire” - A Deep Listening Session Sentire, in Italian, means “to hear,” but its meaning extends beyond sound perception to include physical and emotional feeling. Udire, by contrast, is a more formal term, referring strictly to the physiological act of hearing: the passive reception of sound waves, without interpretation or feeling. This listening session explores the space between udire and sentire: from simply hearing sound, to deeply feeling it. Join us on 7 November at Om Being for a full immersion into sound and visuals. Expect live performances, a sound bath, and a DJ set. From 18:00 to 23:00, we’ll showcase a lineup of artists who share the same love and interest in ambient frequencies and immersive performances. Extraterrestrial Desire is a project born from a deep connection for the emotional and introspective side of music, its weirdness and the unexpected frequencies. Sounds that create visceral sensations and guide you into a meditative and altered state. Founded in 2023 as a podcast channel, Extraterrestrial Desire aims to open minds by showcasing emerging artists and inviting more established ones to explore their softer, more experimental side through ambient, hypnotic and exploratory soundscapes. The project hosted a year-long bi-monthly residency on Bloop London Radio and a monthly podcast release. The desire to translate Extraterrestrial Desire from an auditory platform into a fully embodied, immersive experience is the natural next step.
