For this edition of Angel Audio's musicboard funded educational event, we're combining a practical soundsystem workshop with a party celebrating regional club music from the US underground. From Chicago's ghetto house and footwork to Detroit electro and ghettotech, Miami bass and Baltimore and Jersey club, the night brings together sounds that emerged from distinct local scenes and went on to influence club music around the world. Our lineup brings together artists from Chicago, Munich and Berlin for a night of heavy bass, fast percussion and dancefloor-focused selections all powered by the Angel Audio Soundsystem. WORKSHOP: SOUNDSYSTEMS IN THE WILD What does it actually take to run a soundsystem outside the perfect club setup? Before the party, anna andersrum hosts a conversation with experienced soundsystem operators about running events in clubs, festivals, warehouses, fields and DIY spaces. We'll talk about finding suitable locations, transporting and setting up equipment, dealing with electricity and noise restrictions, and handling unexpected problems on the day. Rather than formal technical instruction, the workshop focuses on firsthand experiences, mistakes, practical advice and lessons learned. Whether you're already involved in a soundsystem crew or interested in organizing your first event, come along, ask questions and exchange experiences.
