We invite you to a late afternoon/early evening in the company of both international and local artists, with a programme consisting of experiments in music and sound. The concerts will be presented in different locations in and around The Culture Yard in Heslingør, and you can enjoy the different experiences standing, sitting or lying down as you please. The programme is co-curated by artist and musician Francesca Buratelli. Heith and Tarawangsawelas performs "Duori" Some collaborations start to happen in shared studios. Duori started across continents. Ever since they met in Bandung in 2017, Italian producer Heith (Daniele Guerrini) and Indonesian duo Tarawangsawelas (Teguh Permana and Wisnu Ridwana) have been working towards a shared musical language. Ideas travelled back and forth between Europe and Indonesia – on recording devices, old hard drives, and long-deactivated eSIM cards, transformed through time, distance, and multiple exchanges. The result is what they describe as “5th world music in low data mode”: music that is not so much concerned with geographical origins as with the paths along which it travelled. The soundscapes of West Java are the starting point: Tarawangsa, suling, kacapi, and small gamelan gongs meet Heith’s delicate electronics, digital manipulations, and blurry textures. This blend, however, is not merely a fusion of two traditions, and the pieces remain in constant flux. They emerge from the interplay of different languages, rituals, and recollections from the night-time Jaipong clubs in Bandung, European tours, and conversations about spirits, friendship, and the journey of sounds. The music feels familiar and unfamiliar at once. Melodies surface to soon dissolve again; electronic fragments are layered over traditional instruments, field recordings, and voices. Sound is a vehicle for connecting places, people, and the stories they share. Heith and Tarawangsawelas will present Duori live at The Culture Yard in Elsinore Aase Nielsen (DK) Aase Nielsen is a composer, producer and artist based in Copenhagen. Nielsen is an at once ubiquitous and enigmatic figure in Danish underground music with an innumerable list of releases and collaborations. She is the director of the ensemble boli group with which she has released the albums N.P.D.S. (Posh Isolation 2018) and The Jutlandia Quartets (Haunter Records 2021). Her collaborative work has been featured on releases from labels such as 5 Gate Temple, World Music, Rough Trade, Hyperdub, Jagjaguwar, Escho, Sacred Bones, Dacapo Records & Pan and exhibited/performed in places like the Venice Biennale, KW, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Bolzano Bozen, SMK, Kunsthalle Zürich, Kunsthal 44Møen, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Chisenhale Gallery. Francesca Buratelli (DK) Multidisciplinary artist Francesca Burattelli (IT/DK) has been active since 2017 in the Danish alternative music and art scene, with her distinctive avant-garde pop performances, lingering between experimental music and visual art. Her praxis evolves around the performativity of the singing voice, unfolding in electronic landscapes, merging chanting, recital and elements from South Italian traditonal singing. Her releases Conditon (VISAGE) and Battle Fatigue (Anyines) from 2020 and 2022 have respectively established her as a distinctive producer and artist in the Copenhagen music scene. A new release is forthcoming in 2026, which further morphs Burattelli’s roots into a new artistic spectrum where fragmented electronic scenarios meet Neapolitan song tradition. Her multilingual songwriting and genre bending attributes, creates a wide net of association from orchestral tradition to modern media accumulation, often engaging with sociopolitical themes. In her soloist post.grad. studies, she investigates the use of psychogeography and affect theory, to look at musics potential to navigate and create emotional mappings across landscapes and cultures, questioning the notions of heritage and belonging. In her latest work she makes use of different singing styles and woodwind instruments as bagpipe, flute and saxophone, as tools of exploration of Mediterranean music tradition, with a contemporary approach to this areas Geopolitical implications.
