Strawberry Cult Vol. III 12th September, Strawberry Cult returns to Le Maquis. For this one, we welcome Eizu to Hanoi for her Strawberry Cult debut. She joins Manikk, Techa, Kenno and Colette — bringing another city into the small exchange Strawberry Cult was built around. Eizu (映図) moves through hypnotic electronics, progressive structures, minimal and techno. Subterranean basslines, woody percussion and darker textures run through her sets, shifting with the room as the night develops. Manikk has long been part of Hanoi’s club landscape, working across it as a DJ, curator, Savage resident and sound manager. Drawing from the harder edges of ’90s club music alongside contemporary house, techno and bass, his sets are built around weight, precision and momentum. Originally from Serbia and now based in Hanoi, Techa is a co-founder of Atipik Collective, with a background spanning appearances at EXIT Festival and a residency at Club Tunnel in Novi Sad. His sound sits between old-school techno, house and electro, with a direct sense of rhythm and careful control of pace. From Melbourne/Naarm, Kenno is a long-term resident at Mirage and the founder of samo.malo. His selections move freely between house, techno and electro, shaped by the room and a preference for playful combinations, unexpected turns and less obvious corners of each genre. Completing the lineup is Colette, Hanoi-based DJ and co-founder of Strawberry Cult. Her sets move through house, minimal, electro, acid and breaks, leaning towards playful rhythms and slightly off-centre selections that shift the mood without quite announcing themselves. Five selectors, different places, one room. 12th September. Le Maquis.
