Juan Atkins, widely known as the Godfather of Techno, is at the centre of a special two-part programme: a public talk followed by club session with The Originator himself behind the decks. One of the foundational figures of Detroit techno, Atkins helped shape the genre from its earliest days. After his work with Cybotron, he launched the legendary Metroplex label and, under his Model 500 alias, released “No UFO’s” — widely recognised as the first techno track. Together with Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, he became part of the legendary Belleville Three, whose music laid the foundations for techno culture worldwide. The evening begins with a moderated public conversation exploring a selected aspect of Atkins’ work and legacy, followed by audience questions. Later that night, Juan Atkins takes over the dancefloor with a two-hour DJ set. Scheduled earlier than a typical club night, the format offers a more compact late-evening experience while keeping the full club atmosphere. Local support acts to be announced soon. PUBLIC TALK The public talk is free for club session ticket holders. Capacity is very limited — up to 160 people. Registration link below Enter your valid Club Night order number during registration. Access will be granted to the first 160 successfully registered ticket holders.
