Hartlepool’s MARKETPLACE have built a growing reputation for their vibrant brand of indie pop, earning a devoted fanbase through engaging headline shows and support slots with artists including Alfie Templeman, Swim Deep and The Lottery Winners. Influenced by the likes of Alvvays, Pulp and Talking Heads, the five-piece combine jangling guitars, synth textures and sharp songwriting into a distinctive, hook-filled sound. Their releases have received strong backing from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1, including multiple Track of the Week picks.
