On the menu: groove, movement, and the energy of the club 18+ **NUBIAN NÉNÉ** Nubian Néné is a dancer, choreographer, creative director, and visual visionary known for her meticulous attention to detail and dynamic expression in Waacking, House, Hip Hop, and other Black social dance forms. Driven by a passion for performance and storytelling, she founded A Lady in the House Dance Company in 2014, creating works that weave street and club dance styles into compelling narratives with a distinctive aesthetic. In 2017, she established Waack Bazaar, an organization dedicated to centering Waacking and exploring its intersections with activism, music, fashion, dance, and culture while fostering community engagement, education, and growth. Nubian Néné’s work extends across multiple disciplines as a producer, creative consultant, curator, and educator. A trusted collaborator in innovative, multidisciplinary projects, she is deeply committed to preserving and advancing the culture through its people, folklore, stories, and the rich anthropology, sociology, and history of Black dance forms. She approaches her practice with humility and purpose: student first, mentee second, mentor third. Her mission is to help carry the legacy forward with integrity, passion, knowledge, confidence, stewardship, love, and profound respect. Through her work, she remains dedicated to honoring the past, nurturing the present, and inspiring future generations.
