Doors 7 pm Ignition 7:30 pm *** Inspired by the primordial soup, teeming ecosystems, and the beauty of mathematical patterns, Hadron Lake is an ode to the fabric of our universe, and to the future dreams of our technological culture. The hopeful spawn of two years of R&D, it blends sounds from all sources with live modular synths, within a world created in the Supercollider programming language. In this simulated environment, each sound is a little entity with its own set of rules, live interactions with its fellows, and a will of its own. Brought to life by a half-sphere of precise speakers and a set of enveloping bass, they want to encourage lifting off and drifting away with ears wide. An invitation to lie down, close our eyes and look into the firmament.
