Something that cannot be held in one’s hand or carved in stone, appearing only when the others come together. Time goes by, looking for the signs that might lead to its discovery. Gazing at the sky, entrusting secrets to prophets and rebels. Perhaps looking in the wrong corners. Berlin, in October, is where the fifth element lies. Somewhere beyond the streets, past the water, where the four forces align and the elements dance in a sweet interplay. Earth is the island beneath our steps; liquid mirrors surround it. Fire moves with them through shadowed rooms; air caresses fall’s watercolor portrait. And sound travels through the floors, singing as if the universe had just opened its mouth. At Climate of Fear, the space between the elements thins, merging them into a state of being, of interconnectedness: the human tapestry of the dancefloor. Hot grids of encounters, an equilibrium sustained by the underlying power of presence in a time and a place — community beyond the tangible. A noise cartography moving between the organic and the abstract, through intricate rhythms. Field recordings and unconventional synths collide with the rawer edges of acid, breaks, bass, and deconstructed forms, creating a capsule where genres are merely the departure point; each sound voyage opens up new avenues across 24 hours. Where sound spins and twirls, the common denominator is the same ever-present force: that fifth connector binding the fibers together, a dancefloor weaving everything into one. Care, access, and inclusion: everyone should feel comfortable, safe, and able to fully enjoy the Climate of Fear experience.
