Daniel Vila builds ambient soundscapes featuring saxophone, environmental samples, and electronics. Daniel Vila is a Florida-born multi-instrumentalist based in NYC. Daniel builds ethereal, meditative soundscapes that evoke dream-like introspection and stillness. He’s inspired by the search for calm in the often overwhelming acoustic environment of the city. He often does this in collaboration with dance, theater, and film. As part of his practice, Daniel spends some evenings creating these soundscapes in the streets and subways of NYC.
