October and The Eyes craft a sound dauntless and dizzying, describing her style as “collage-rock”. She copy-paste’s lo-fi home demos into hi-fi studio live sessions, acoustic guitars through digital sound effects, musical saws and power drills, frankensteining it all together. The end result is equal parts nostalgia-drenched as it is future forward, pulling influence from 60’s psych, and 80’s post-punk along with sprinkling’s of folk and grunge.October’s live performances have been described as controlled chaos, with Gigwise even hubristically crowning October as “the female Iggy Pop”.
