ANALOG 009 // Tyler Stadius, Mike McSuede and Kozue digging into the crates for an all-vinyl session from midnight through morning. No screens, no requests, just records all the way till 8AM. Tyler Stadius is a defining figure in Vancouver’s house music history. A former co-owner of the legendary Bassix record store and part of the team behind SONAR, he has taken his deep-rooted house sound to dancefloors around the world, including London’s Fabric. Mike McSuede is a longtime presence in Vancouver’s underground, with roots in the scene stretching back more than a decade. His history behind the decks includes appearances alongside some of the city’s most established house and techno artists, with a sound grounded in the deeper side of electronic music. Kozue is a Japan-born, Vancouver-based DJ and dedicated vinyl collector whose selections move through house, deep house, techno and disco. Her sets blend organic, electronic and eclectic sounds, with vinyl playing a major role in her approach to the dancefloor.
