"On November 27, Bassiani will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Delsin Records. Founded in 1996 by Marsel van der Wielen, aka Peel Seamus, as a DIY label for his own machine-fixated experiments, Delsin has since grown into one of the longest-running and most respected imprints, with a catalogue spanning over 350 releases by more than 100 artists, including Sterac, Redshape, Conforce, Delta Funktionen, Newworldaquarium, A Made Up Sound, Claro Intelecto, CiM, Norken, Micronism, Aardvarck, John Beltran, Population One, D5, Future Beat Alliance, .VRIL, Artefakt, nthng, Answer Code Request, Claudio PRC, Konduku, Architectural, Voiski, Wata Igarashi, Tobias., VC-118A, Gunnar Haslam, Mike Dehnert, BNJMN, Forest Drive West, Lost Trax, and many more. Through shared history and a certain air of authority, it’s also made a home for significant reissues of out-of-print and over-sharked gems from techno’s many-layered history. The Delsin-curated night features the enigmatic HVL, Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Sterac, aka Steve Rachmad, who brought the futuristic sounds of Detroit techno into European electronic music traditions. For over four decades, Rachmad has developed a distinctive analogue-driven sound. His aliases reflect the different sides of his musical identity, while Sterac explores the darker, deeper, and more uncompromising side of techno. A vital figure in London's underground and a resident at Open Ground and FOLD, Tasha is the mastermind behind the Neighbourhood label and party series, known for her ‘music first’ attitude. Her DJing reflects a broad range of influences, weaving together the bass-driven sounds of the UK with the 4/4 techno traditions of Berlin and Detroit. The mysterious nthng is renowned for an introspective sound and unusual dramaturgy, characterised by the interplay between rhythm and atmosphere, where melancholy and euphoria coexist. Kvanchi and Kraumur return to Horoom alongside Amir, co-founder of Abo Records, a record store and community space established in the heart of wartime Kyiv as a haven for music enthusiasts. Closer resident and hardware-based performer Volodymyr Gnatenko explores a wide spectrum of sounds, ranging from ambient and drone to IDM and trance, and has released records on labels Kalahari Oyster Cult, Animals On Psychedelics, Where We Met, and Rhythm Büro.
