***Anna McLuckie, a Scottish Clàrsach player and singer, presents her album ‘The Little Winters’. Accompanied by Awen Blandford on Cello, George Burrage on Double Bass and Seth Bye on Violin, Anna delivers slightly off-kilter folk ballads with beautiful strings and harmonies.*** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ **Anna McLuckie** returns to Kings Place for her headline debut after a brilliantly received foyer performance before the legendary Martin Simpson’s gig in September 2026, as part of our Young Artist Platform. She released her album *The Little Winters* with Hudson Records in Spring 2026. Since then, she’s toured the album across the UK and earlier this year spent a month touring with the legendary Fairport Convention. *The Little Winters* is an American term used to refer to turns of frost during springtime, in particular a spring harvest. These indicators are used by farmers to predict when to plant certain crops, and are documented by the blooming of five plants: Redbud, Dogwood, Locust, Blackberry and Britches. These plants are listed in the song ‘Blackberry Love’ and she has used them as chapters to document her transition between moving cities and rediscovering herself. Anna says that when moving, she had discovered a neglected, detached root which was looking for new soil. This record provides a bed for all those roots and dislodged feelings. ***This event will last approximately 110 minutes, including the interval.***
