Sunday,June is a five-piece band formed in Geneva, Switzerland in 2024 around the songwriting of Mario Peiró (vocals, guitar). After developing material through a more solitary, introspective process, Mario sought to build a genuinely collective project and assembled a band whose musical and personal chemistry was apparent from the very first sessions. The band — Antoine Chapel (keyboards, backing vocals), Audrey Croisier (guitar, backing vocals), Vincent Breza (bass) and Thomas Abbet (drums) — came together with a shared feeling of immediacy that has shaped the group’s identity ever since. Their debut album, “Sun Glitter and Other Reflections” (2025), established the sonic foundation: dense, exploratory psychedelic pop conceived largely in home-studio conditions, intimate in scope and experimental in spirit. In November 2026, Sunday,June release their sophomore album, “Cinema” — songs recorded at Chapel Studios in England with producer Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers). Composed collectively during a series of writing residencies held in isolated, nature-adjacent spaces, and captured live in a single room without a click track, the album marks a significant evolution: from the introspection of their debut toward something more expansive, collaborative and… cinematic.
