12:00:00 - 14:00:00
The Lanes, Bristol

Rough Trade Bristol is very excited to present a book signing from Matt King aka Peep Show's Super Hans. This unique event celebrates the release of his book 'Moreish' released via Mudlark. Tickets include a physical copy of the fantastic new book to be collected from Rough Trade Bristol on the day of the event. You know the name. You know the carnage. Now, for the first time ever, Super Hans tells his own story – no filter, no agenda, just unfiltered Hans. 11 years since the final episode of Peep Show, we finally find out what Hans did next, whilst discovering more about the origin story of this enigmatic character. From his early days brewing home-fermented insanity to fronting the greatest band that never was, to performing at Glastonbury, this book is the hilarious, trippy and occasionally baffling life story of Super Hans, in his own words, even though he can't quite remember all the details. Super Hans – real name Simon, not that he’s ever used it – is a musician, DJ, philosopher, and all-around cultural disruptor. Known as Jez’s best mate and Mark’s worst nightmare in Channel 4’s cult classic Peep Show, he rose to legendary status thanks to his unforgettable lines, unfiltered wisdom, and habit of turning up exactly where you least expect him. His upcoming memoir is the legendary story of a modern folk anti-hero, written in his own gloriously chaotic words. Matt King is an internationally renowned comedian, screenwriter and actor. Perhaps best known for playing Super Hans in the Bafta award-winning Peep Show, Matt can currently be seen as a recurring character in Time Bandits (Apple) and Spent (BBC). Matt has appeared on the big screen in the likes of Bronson alongside Tom Hardy, Dolittle with Robert Downey Jr, Paddington, RocknRolla and Juliet, Naked. He also played the lead role of Henry Mallet in the award-winning Australian drama series Spirited, for which he won the Best Male Actor in a Drama award. Matt created and wrote the BBC chef sitcom Whites starring Alan Davies, and also created and wrote the Sky drama Starlings starring Brendan Coyle and Lesley Sharp. Moreish is his first novel.
