South of Houston's 'Selleciones...' party is back after the huge summer beach party at Carat's. This time sees an awesome line up at another alt venue bringing you a high calibre lineup spanning from scene pioneers to future promise. After the day-party sunset vibe of Selecciones Tropicales (featuring The Mighty Zaf and Katie Barber), this time Selecciones Nocturnas is here to bring the late night dancing flavours on a date that is so traditionally associated with the night (the 'H' word we will not meniton). Though this might have it's deeper darker moments, we fully anticipate a full range of top notch music. Expect everything from balearic beat, disco, afro and boogie to wild rare treats, leftfield house music and maybe even some pump(k)in techno. We have a legit originator of the whole UK acid house scene, Nancy Noise. This Ibiza veteran (she was there doing her thing long before the summer of love) is still a primo selector, her many decades of experience always brings the dancefloor to a frenzy. Danny McLewin, aka Skyrager, one half of revered production outfit Psychemagik has been feeding the scene with music for a generation, from magical edits of classics to deep undergound bombs. Danny has DJed all over the world, which in turn leads him to uncover hidden gems on a constant global digging mission. A much lauded DJ set in Love Dancin' at We Out Here last year was one of the sets of the festival by many in attendance - Some feat that! We were lucky to have Danny in attendance at Selecciones Tropicales where he was so impressed with the party we had to come together to make this booking happen. Then we have the man with a music knowledge far exceeding his years. Marley Harris, aka Sounds Of Harris. Touted as one to watch, a commitment to vinyl only sets, seemlessly moving from the disco, soul and jazz world into the soulful sounds of house and broken beat from throughout the past three decades, Marley will be propping up the second room for us. And support as ever comes from South of Houston lead player Ben GC, himself coming off the back of another successful summer of festival appearances and gigs both here in Brighton and abroad. With a much smaller capacity than the last party at Carat's we would advise a no-snoozing on tickets for this one! See you on the D floor.
