A body on its knees looks easy to read. One stands. One bends. A hand holds the head. You think you know who has the power. We are taught to read bodies through fixed positions. Above and below. Active and passive. Masculine and feminine. Dominant and submissive. But power is not a position. A body can kneel because it chooses to. It can surrender without giving itself away. It can offer control while keeping the power to take it back. Submission is not the absence of agency. Sometimes it is its most deliberate form. Consent does not make desire softer. It allows it to go further. Pressure can become pleasure. Restraint can become trust. An order can be exactly what was asked for. From the outside, you see a hierarchy. Inside the encounter, power is negotiated. Given. Taken. Returned. Reversed. The body below may be setting every limit. The body in control may be following every instruction. At GEGEN X SKIN, no gesture explains itself. No position tells the whole story. We do not assume. We ask. We listen. We respect the answer. POWER IS NOT A POSITION. CONSENT DECIDES WHAT IT BECOMES. /// Art Performances /// Play Area /// Awareness Photo Courtesy: Florian Hetz /// DRESSCODE Dress to command. Dress to surrender. Dress to reverse the roles. Leather, latex, harnesses, straps, collars, chains, jocks, underwear, lingerie, mesh, fetishwear and exposed skin. Make your position clear. Then be ready to change it. No casual or streetwear. A strict selection will be made at the entrance. Your outfit is never consent. Always ask before touching. ________ Remember: first of all, there are RULES. Personal and community safety is at the core. At Skin, we focus on three key concepts for attending our events: respect, well-being, and safety. RESPECT goes beyond contemporary ideas of consent. We believe in SAFETY through education and collectivism, through which a shared understanding can be built. In this way, WELL-BEING becomes a right for communities that exist outside conventional culture, especially in spaces that do not offer enough safety for people to be who they want to be. The only thing we ask is that you are able to recognize the boundaries of others sharing the space with you. Otherwise, you will not be welcome at the club. If something does not make you feel 100% comfortable, please inform our team, identifiable by a glowing green armband, or any member of staff, including bar staff. Read and understand the rules before coming to greet us at the door. Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate and permanent removal from the event. Please note that advance tickets do not guarantee entry. You must comply with the rules, dress code, and Skin’s door policy.
