After a year away, Sonic Serendipity returns to Paris with a new edition centred around the work of Mexican sound artist and researcher Hugo Esquinca. Hugo Esquinca is working with audio electronics and extreme levels of amplification. His work has been presented at EMPAC, Stedelijk Museum, Muziekgebouw, Le Centquatre, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Tresor and Berghain, among others. He is currently a PhD researcher at the Erasmus Institute for Philosophy and Technology in Rotterdam. The night will also feature DJ sets from Sonic Serendipity residents Dolphin Hospital, moving through pop-balearic territories, and OUEAIAIAIO with a melodic dance set punctuated by unpredictable MIDI takeovers. DJ Kutyma, founder of FU FU Recordz, joins with a 90s rave-informed jungle and acid set, while Furrr — a signatory of Nazlo Records — closes the circle with a secret set.
