【ベルリンの人気レーベルToy Tonicsのショーケースが、ANTS HOUSE、QUERICOとのコラボレーションによって開催！】 2015年の設立依頼、創設者兼クリエイティブディレクターKAPOTEことMAthias Modicaが中心となり、ジャズやファンクの要素を取り入れたハウスのレコードやエッジィなグラフィックデザインを手がけてきたベルリン拠点のレーベル兼アート集団、Toy Tonics。本イベントは彼らのイベントシリーズ「Toy Tonics Jam」の東京版として、Arpy BrownとGee Laneの2人が出演。共に今回が初来日となる。 O-EASTメインフロアで彼らにジョインするのは、小袋成彬によるDJイベント「ANTS HOUSE」のメンバーであるNOMIZOと、世界各地のDJブースで珠玉のレコードをプレイするセレクターMr.Disco Kidだ。 QUERICOがホストする東間屋フロアではAl JonesとChris MS、RhadewaとYumesがそれぞれB2Bをプレイするほか、quiricoがラインナップされた。 Since established in 2015, Berlin-based label and art collective Toy Tonics—led by founder and creative director Matthias Modica, known as KAPOTE—has been producing house records infusing elements of jazz and funk, alongside edgy graphic designs. This event marks the Tokyo edition of their ‘Toy Tonics Jam’ series, featuring Arpy Brown and Gee Lane, both of whom are making their Japan debut. Joining them on the O-EAST main floor will be NOMIZO, a member of Nariaki Obukuro’s DJ event ‘ANTS HOUSE’, and Mr.Disco Kid, a selector who plays house, rare groove and disco gems in DJ booths around the world. In the AZUMAYA floor, hosted by QUERICO, Al Jones and Chris MS, as well as Rhadewa and Yumes will go B2B, while quirico is also on the bill.
