On November 24, Atemporal Projects welcomes Viiaan for Patterns of Stillness, an intimate evening of ambient and experimental vinyl selections. Originally from Mexico City and now based in Berlin, Viiaan is a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Voragine, an independent electronic music label established in 2017. Dedicated to experimental sounds, sonic design, and club music, the label serves as a platform for artists exploring introspective and unconventional approaches to electronic music. Since 2020, Viiaan has been leading the project, further developing its distinct sonic identity. Describing her own work as “experimental introspective music,” Viiaan moves fluidly between the worlds of experimental electronics and club culture. Her selections span techno rooted in Detroit's musical heritage, dub, breaks, IDM, drum & bass, and house, drawing influence from ambient, industrial music, and percussive traditions from around the world. A familiar presence at Berlin's Tresor, Viiaan's distinct sonic identity has brought her to clubs, festivals, and experimental music spaces internationally. Her November appearance alongside Overmono and Blawan at Berlin's Uber Eats Music Hall marks another chapter in her evolving musical journey. For this special session at Atemporal, Viiaan draws from her personal record collection, presenting an ambient and experimental vinyl set that moves through atmospheric textures, polyrhythmic compositions, and percussive passages. Departing from the conventional club setting, the evening invites guests to settle into a more contemplative listening experience, with her selections resonating through Atemporal's bespoke Altec sound system.
