Exploring the intersection of sound and spirituality, she layers mantras, electronics, field recordings, voice, and organic instruments to create immersive listening experiences where ancient ritualistic sensibilities dissolve into contemporary sonic expression. Her latest work, Last Shell of the World, approaches water as a symbol of life, transformation, and fluidity. Through hydrophone recordings, liquid textures, and ceramic instruments, she explores water and the sounds that exist within it. fui fui creates sonic environments where stillness and physicality coexist, centered around organic ambient textures and deep, resonant low frequencies. Delicately layered sounds envelop the listener, slowly drawing awareness inward. Her work continues to expand across Japan and internationally, including Water bodies at Gravity Pleasure in Berlin and a contribution to a VA compilation released by Second End Records. Inqapool Originally from Osaka and now based in Tokyo, Inqapool developed his practice through time spent in Berlin. Alongside DJ sets, he performs live using modular and analog synthesizers, and has appeared at events including rural and Festival of Modular Tokyo. grrrden Tokyo-based DJ grrrden has contributed mixes to NTS and other platforms worldwide, and has performed in cities including Berlin, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. Through his listening event olva, he creates spaces not simply for dancing, but for listening deeply to sound itself. This attention to the act of listening resonates with AMÆMI’s approach to ritual listening—their different practices descending toward a shared depth. ⸻ Fluctuation, embodiment, fragility, time. Each inner depth resonates within a single space. Like descending into the deep sea. Each artist dives into the depths of perception and emotion, bringing something back to the surface and transforming it into sound, costume, and space. The venue will also feature a chill-out / listening space furnished with rugs from KANKAN, a shop dedicated to textiles, crafts, and folk art from around the world. Visitors are invited to touch the rugs, settle into the space, and surrender themselves to the sound. Rugs that resonate with you will also be available to purchase at the venue.
