Indie in Town and Girls To The Front are very excited to present our first collaborative event at The George Tavern on 1 October, highlighting FLINTA\* artists from The Netherlands and the UK. We'll have local creators sell their art and zines and we'll be taking donations for a few different organisations: Medical Aid for Palestinians and the Women and Girls Network (WGN) in London. C'est Qui? (NL): A groovy- garage- glamorous- grimy- gnarly- punk band. It all came about when four different genres walked into a room and birthed an out of control little punk baby. It looks like they escaped "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", feels like a 10 ton truck hits you in the face, smells like red shiny pumps fresh out of the box and they make you question your nine to five. Dear Omen (NL): Dear Omen is a three-piece, heavy-hearted gothic rock band based in Amsterdam. Expect solid bass lines, hard-hitting drum rhythms mixed with haunting organs and an extravagant live show. Girl Apocrypha: Girl Apocrypha is the strange yet alluring newcomer who is quickly gaining a reputation as the rising artist to look out for. Her genre-bending sound (often described as ‘grunge-pop) has garnered significant attention, boasting BBC Radio 6 Music plays and features from Dork, Loud Women, Earmilk and more.
