In a special collaboration between Substance and Friction, we are so excited to bring Tauceti to Vancouver for her Canada debut! Drummer turned techno producer and DJ, Tauceti has been on our wishlist for a long time and we can’t wait to finally have her here. Over the past few years, Tauceti has established herself as one of the voices of the new generation of techno artists. Trained in drumming at the Toulouse Conservatory, she naturally developed a keen interest in rhythm. Her Middle Eastern and Asian roots contribute to the construction of a unique artistic identity, a hybrid and intimate object straddling the boundary between futurism and cultural heritage. With releases on renowned labels such as Non Series, WSNWG, Semantica, 47 and Denovali, she is strongly influenced by the world of cinema and digital arts. Alongside her residencies at Le Sucre in Lyon and Lehmann Club in Stuttgart, she has performed regularly at Nuits Sonores, RSO, Stone Techno Festival and RAUM Amsterdam, and in the Americas at IDT’s Return to Source in Detroit, The Great Beyond in Minnesota, Eindzeit San Francisco, Medellín Style and Merge NYC.
