Serving mellifluous tones—often described as the lovechild of Ella Fitzgerald and Amy Winehouse— Camille Rose blends classic jazz sensibility with soulful inflection. Still early in her career, Camille is carving out a distinctive voice on the London jazz scene, one steeped in the phrasing and swing of the great vocal tradition while unmistakably her own. Her sound moves fluidly between the warmth of classic jazz standards and the raw, soulful edge more associated with contemporary vocal music, making for a performance that feels both timeless and thoroughly present. Camille brings her band once again to Morocco Bound for a night of swing, scat, story-telling and soul- performing tunes from her latest EP, as well as stylised interpretations of tunes from her favourite jazz songstresses.
