Hits & Pop and a drop of Reggaetón. Cuenca Club, one of Madrid’s most fun and unapologetically wild club nights, which takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and brings together an audience that enjoys being quirky, participating on stupid contests and dressing up according to a playful theme. Borque, formerly known as Niño Fixo, has been working as a DJ for over 20 years, both in Spain and internationally. He’s made crowds dance at events and parties in Madrid, Barcelona, London, New York and Bogotá. Thirteen years ago, he created Cuenca Club, one of Madrid’s most fun and unapologetically wild club nights, taking place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and bringing together more than 1,200 people every week since 13 years. A natural show-off and a Broadway lover, Borque has always been one of the most outrageous DJs on the Spanish scene. His sets bring nights to life by digging up the kitschiest gems, mixing them with priceless mash-ups and the most essential pop hits from every era. But that’s not all: his true speciality is bringing the ultimate guilty pleasures out of the shadows. He can put a bow on them, cover them in glitter and confetti, serve them up on a silver platter and somehow convince you that the song you swore you’d never want to hear at a party is exactly the one you need to be dancing to. He was one of the first to turn forgotten pop nostalgia into a weapon for getting dance floors moving. A regular on the fashion and brand-event circuit, he has DJed for Pull&Bear, Adolfo Domínguez, Google, Mango, Victoria, Tinder, Prisma and Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP. It was at Cuenca Club that he started working with Felipe Olaya M. thirteen years ago. Felipe effortlessly and expertly moves between current pop, the hits that raised a generation of ’90s kids, and reggaeton, making the two of them an unstoppable source of fun, chaos and dancing. Felipe has also played at parties and events in Madrid—including the opening of “Mi España,” Miguel Reveriego’s exhibition at Florida Retiro—as well as in Barcelona and Lima, where he headlined Infierno, a huge Halloween party organised by Matadero Lima. Together, they have worked with brands including Google, Tinder, Victoria and HBO, curated events for IED, and got packed crowds dancing in Plaza España during Madrid Pride and at Barcelona Pride.
