Tones & Drones returns to Walthamstow Trades Hall for an evening of ambient, experimental and meditative sound with live visuals. Scald, UKAEA and Agathe Max present a live audiovisual reworking of Alain Resnais’s Last Year at Marienbad, improvising a new soundtrack and visual remix in response to the film’s dreamlike repetition and ambiguity. Also performing are JD Roberts, blending woodwind melodies, deep drones and birdsong-inspired electronics, and Arconic with Viviana Caro, exploring immersive quadraphonic sound, electronic texture and altered states of listening. Audio-reactive visuals throughout the evening are provided by 2-Digit Visuals.
