sonics & grief is a series of holding and witnessing grief through sound, discourse and community. where previous iterations were focused on conversations around eco grief and the geopoetics of deep time, the event at 90mill will focus on vocalities - the alchemical and archaeological properties that human and more than human voices hold - as anchor, archive and register within the grieving process. grief is understood in spectral terms – it can encompass both specific, personal forms of grief and broader forms of ecological and global grief, all liminalities in between are welcome. the priority is safety, choice and gentleness.
