Local Resonance #5 will take place on Saturday 19th September at Portobello’s best basement boozer, Bello Bar. Celebrations are afoot so get thee-selves a ticket and arrive early to avoid disappointment. We will be raising money for Pieta House with all proceeds going their way and donations very welcome. A day party in Harold’s Cross is also on the cards with more info to follow ASAP. Line Up: El Gato (Killiney) will join us to kick off proceedings on the night. An aficionado of 70s soft rock and its various offshoots, she will be getting everyone firmly into the groove from early doors. Sam Kay (Shankill) is a DJ/producer who will be dusting off the decks after a few years hiatus from DJing while he has been working on solo project SKPSM and producing and/or performing with Commissions, Libero and Furry Trees. Sam’s record bag will be packed with infectious disco, dubby groovers and some not-so-guilty pleasures. Leigh Michael (Bray) is a philosophising wordsmith whose intricate raps delve into the multifaceted realities of existence. From early beginnings with now mythical Irish hip hop group Exxon Valdez to The Bastard and the Gruesome Twosome among other projects, Leigh has been plying his trade for over two decades and joins us for a special appearance showcasing some of his new productions. Ciaran Meister (Greystones) is a DJ/producer and head of the Mines Clarence and Evenings & Weekends labels, with a host of top notch releases under a collection of aliases. He also runs the monthly Mines Clarence radio show on DDR. Ciaran will bring a choice mix of breaks and beats to keep the party vibes high. With the last four stops on the Dart line represented you can expect to be rapidly transited into good times with friends old and new.
