ALT-SHIFT returns to Shibuya OTO for its second edition, supported by Modular Wednesday. The series connects hardware-based performance, club culture and Japan's modular community. Centred on IDM, electronica and ambient, this edition brings together artists with sharply different relationships to their instruments. epow6oow, whose machine live sets run entirely on a single Elektron Model:Cycles, building precise rhythms and sounds that sit on the edge between melody and noise. Watasino, known as a master of the Roland SP-404MKII, presenting "Ambeat," a fusion of floating ambient textures and hip-hop-derived beats. Sakai, using no computer or groovebox, letting bent rhythms and chance coexist on a modular-only system. Three live acts, each approaching their machines from a different direction. Opening DJ Big Factor moves across jungle, drum & bass and breakcore, opening the night with speed and force. ALT-SHIFTが、Modular Wednesdayのサポートにより渋谷OTOで二回目の開催を迎えます。ハードウェアによる演奏、クラブカルチャー、そして日本のモジュラーシーンをつなぐシリーズ。今回はIDM、エレクトロニカ、アンビエントを軸に、それぞれの楽器との向き合い方がはっきりと異なるアクトを迎えます。 epow6oowは、Elektron Model:Cycles一台のみで、緻密なリズムとメロディとノイズの境目にある音を組み上げるマシンライブを展開。Roland SP-404MKIIの名手として知られ、浮遊感のあるアンビエントとヒップホップ由来のビートを融合した「Ambeat」を掲げるWatasino。PCもグルーヴボックスも使わず、モジュラーオンリーのシステムで、ねじれたリズムと偶発性を同居させるSakai。それぞれ異なる方向から機材に向き合う、三組のライブアクトが集う夜。オープニングDJは、ジャングル／ドラムンベース／ブレイクコアを横断し、速さと強度で夜の入り口を開くBig Factor。
