On October 23rd, 42Hz brings Obeka to AKC Attack! The Bermudian multi-percussionist is set to shake up Zagreb with a performance that fuses live drumming with the heavy weight of British soundsystem culture. Born in Bermuda, Obeka honed his sound in Manchester’s underground club scene. His productions blend Pan-African, Caribbean, and South American rhythms with dub-style pressure, fractured low-end frequencies, and industrial percussion—all performed live using a combination of acoustic drums and software. MixMag named him an Artist to Watch in 2025 and listed his debut album, A World No More, released on the Prague-based label YUKU, among the best albums of the year. He has held a residency at Ghana’s Oroko Radio for three consecutive years, appeared on BBC, Rinse FM, NTS, and Refuge Worldwide, and performed at festivals such as We Out Here, Couleur Café, and Fusión. DJ support comes from Niniva, as well as Bansha and pilif from the 42Hz collective, who will round out the night with their own take on the heavier side of bass music. Tickets are €12 in presale and €15 at the door! Design: Martina Dadić Oct 23 | AKC Attack | 22:00–04:00 | €12/€15 |
