Three parties, one room. High Tide is teaming up with Last Planet for the first time, alongside the debut of Wedge, to bring 1tbsp to Toronto. 1tbsp is the left-field dance project from Australian producer Maxwell Byrne, a mileage of contemporary and eclectic sounds accumulated by friends and influences across the world: synth-pop, tech-house, reggaeton and more. His productions span collaborations with front-running EDM artist Ninajirachi to the raw techno-punk of LA-based Soltera and Sonido Sex. His album Megacity1000 and 2025 EP Hotel Living carried him through sold-out rooms in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Mexico City. Occupying an expansive practice, Byrne is a Grammy Award Nominee, recognised for his contributions as a songwriter and producer for his early indie project, the 'band music' of Golden Vessel. He also releases films and music through his independent production company dottidot — his debut short Sandtrap was presented at Bolton Film Festival in 2025. Support comes from Ana Luisa, co-founder of Veneno Club and one of the most exciting selectors in the city right now. Caracas-born and Toronto-based, she's spent four years building Veneno into one of Toronto's most joyful rooms, built on queer perreo, Latin electronic and ritmos bailables, and has taken that sound to Piknic Électronik and beyond. High Tide co-founders Sasha Kalra and Choirboi round out the night. Sasha Kalra is a Toronto-based DJ and producer whose sets draw from UK garage, deep house and breakbeat, with original edits and a focus on South Asian sounds woven throughout. He's played direct support for KETTAMA, Sam Alfred, IDEMI, Ahadadream and Baalti at some of Toronto's most respected underground venues, and followed international sets and radio appearances in London, Seoul and Tokyo with his debut EP Two Floors. Choirboi is a Toronto-based DJ whose club-focused, bass-forward selections have made him a regular across the city's underground, taken him to Sojourn Festival, and most recently to stages in the UK. Together they've built High Tide from a one-off Toronto party in 2022 into events across Toronto, Montreal and London, with headline debuts from X-Coast, Tommy Holohan and Effy along the way.
