KiiTAKA is an emerging London-based alternative artist whose music moves between trip-hop, folk, live broken beat, alt-rock and nu metal. Her songwriting draws on mysticism and ethereal cinematics alongside gritty UK dance culture, heavy guitars and a defiant edge. Raised around the Dorset folk festival scene and influenced by her Portuguese heritage, she later developed a love for jungle, hip-hop and nu jazz. Today, finger-picked guitar and otherworldly melodies collide with crackling 90s trip-hop, unforgiving riffs and sporadic Amen breaks. Formerly known as Kaia Vieira, KiiTAKA built her early London audience busking in Shoreditch and playing grassroots venues before releasing two EPs and collaborating with artists including Creature. and DnB producer Bladerunner. Her upcoming self-produced single ‘The HEROINE.’ pushes further into this world, pairing outspoken songwriting with a live alt-rock band and left-field electronics. She brings it to Grow for its London launch. Closing the night is Anwar Sattar, a London-born, Bristol-based jungle and acid-electro producer. He’ll play an entirely original dubplate set, fusing old skool jungle with cinematic Middle Eastern orchestration. ENTRY INFORMATION £5 + BF advance tickets via DICE £7 on the door
