His debut EP, North, a collaboration with vocalist Dunja Botic, reimagines songs from Greek Thrace—merging folk material with immersive sound design and heavy grooves. Jake Long is a composer and sound artist working with just intonation, modular synthesis, and extended-duration drone. Drawing inspiration from doom metal, medieval polyphony, and the physical properties of acoustic resonance, his work explores slow-moving harmonic structures and dense spectral textures. Long creates music that unfolds with a sense of ritual, tension, and deep listening, bridging ancient musical architectures with contemporary electronic practice.
