Pherotone is back in our spirital home of Peckham with an absolutely incredible headliner who will be making their UK debut in SE15 - Mx. Blaire (she/they). Based in Boston, a dazzling selectress, an embodiment of skill and craft, and a passionate community builder, Mx. Blaire has a singular ability to enchant dancers with stirring, sometimes otherworldly sounds. Her reverence for 90s house, hard-hitting techno, and mind-bending acid guarantees an active dance floor, kept enthralled by intentionally placed breaks and thrilling interplays of tempos and textures. As a result of their dedicated vinyl practice, Blaire’s sets are also technically engaging, with brilliant phrasing and thoughtful touches of turntablism. She uses these skills to transfer her energy to the dancers and share in sonic conversations, exploring concurrent themes of resistance & joy and existence & play. Along with driving the queer scene in Boston - Blaire is a curator of annual rave in Vermont - System Activate - alongside Octo Octa & Eris Drew - bringing the 42,000 Watt T4T LUV NRG sound system to a gorgeous forest clearing for a weekend of psychedelic music & retreat. You don't want to miss Blaire's special extended closing set at Vespers, an intimate, independent queer-owned music venue tucked away on Rye Lane with an impeccable light and sound system. Joining Blaire is rising star Equal Parts/Voices Radio resident Cymba as well as Pherotone resident Emilia G warming things up. Pherotone is a female-led party for FLINTA & queer communities, as well as respectful allies. We're all about creating moments of connection on the dancefloor and a safe space where DJs and dancers are free to express themselves fully. Just like pheromones, Pherotone's dancefloor triggers the chemicals that desire connection.
