Los Angeles selector Xica Soul leads a night that runs from deep, genre-fluid grooves and leftfield into hypnotic progressive house and techno, joined by Fernelly, Seedy J and Extra Meesh. Xica Soul is a Los Angeles DJ whose record bag is built on feel rather than formula. Raised in South San Diego on the funk, oldies, disco and new wave her father played, she moves across genres and eras through deep grooves and hazy, shifting moods, treating vinyl as a living archive. She hosts the monthly SoundProof show on Dublab and has played Boiler Room LA, Multi Multi Festival in London, Sunday Sunday in Mexico City, and Knockdown Center and Good Room here in New York, with guest sets on NTS, Worldwide FM, Kiosk Radio and The Lot Radio. Fernelly is an LA-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer, co-founder of Bêvèrãgęš and a resident of the roaming party Bob & Shirley. His eclectic sets move through leftfield disco, Balearic grooves, international rhythms, deep breaks and classic house. Seedy J is a Brooklyn-based DJ and co-founder of the Bêvèrãgęš natural wine party collective. His playful, unpretentious sets weave sleazy disco, moody Balearica, euphoric Italo house, and left-field oddities into an infectious, chugging groove. Extra Meesh is a DJ and vinyl devotee whose sets pull from house, disco and Italo before tipping into rolling progressive house and driving techno. He favors long, hypnotic builds that keep the floor locked in.
